Providing Chimney Service to Northwest Arkansas & the River Valley since 1983

We Specialize In Industrial Stack Maintenance — Keeping Businesses Safer & More Productive Since 1983

The smokestack or chimney on an industrial building is exposed to a lot of challenging conditions — like strong winds, acid corrosion, chemical exposure, shifts in temperature, and all the weather Arkansas can throw at it, including lightning strikes.

Given the important role that the smokestack has in the production process, it’s imperative that it be regularly maintained and evaluated. If it’s not, you could experience business disruptions, compliance issues with local, federal, and state regulations, and safety and health hazards.

But maintenance doesn’t have to be difficult, disruptive, or dangerous. Keep smokestack failures at bay and keep production running smoothly, without worrying about sudden failure, health and safety hazards, and other concerns, by scheduling regular industrial stack maintenance with the experienced and highly trained professionals at Top Hat Chimney & Roofing.

We’ve been maintaining industrial stacks since our inception in the early 80s, and we provide custom solutions when issues arise. From top to bottom, interior and exterior inspections to cleanings, repairs and restoration, we provide the services you need to keep your industrial stack in tip-top shape.

We offer visual inspections using binoculars, but we’ll also use access ladders, platforms, and other means to get a closer look.

We specialize in industrial stack maintenance - Three tall smokestacks that are red and white.

Not all damage is easily seen from ground level — in fact, the smokestack liner, the ladders, and other areas high up or in the interior of the smokestack are the most prone to damage. To check these areas and perform a thorough evaluation of the smokestack, we’ll perform a rope access inspection with the industrial chimney off-line.

During a rope access inspection, we’ll:

  • thoroughly evaluate the structural integrity of the smokestack
  • look for chemical damage, smoke damage, and acid attack
  • check for general damage, deterioration, or other safety concerns
  • use our video scanning equipment to capture video footage and photos of our findings

Our team also has the technology necessary for checking for hot spots that could be indicative of a leaky or damaged liner.

Once finished, we’ll provide you with a complete inspection report, detailing our findings, our concerns, and our suggestions. If the smokestack has been severely damaged by weather, explosions, or other disasters, or if you’re considering making structural changes to the smokestack, you will need to have the smokestack evaluated and inspected even more intensely.
